About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Afrofa online store at afrofa.com and any purchase you make through it. By accessing the store or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Afrofa is operated from Poland and these terms are governed by Polish and EU law.

Please read these terms carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the store or place an order.

Placing an order

When you place an order on afrofa.com, you are making an offer to purchase the selected items at the prices shown. An order is confirmed when you receive an order confirmation email from us.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, for example in cases of pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected fraud.

All prices are shown inclusive of applicable VAT where required. Shipping costs are shown separately at checkout.

Payment

We accept the following payment methods: credit and debit card, Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna, and bank transfer where available. All transactions are processed securely. We do not store your full payment details.

Payment is taken at the time of ordering. If a payment fails, your order will not be processed. Please ensure your payment details are correct before submitting.

Made-to-order production

Every Afrofa product is made to order. This means each item is produced individually after your order is placed. Production typically takes 2–5 business days before dispatch.

As a result of this production model, we are not able to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect size selection. Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges page for full details of our policy, including what happens if your order arrives damaged or incorrect.

Shipping and delivery

Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guarantees. Afrofa is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs processes, or factors outside our control.

Intellectual property

All content on afrofa.com — including text, images, designs, logos, and product photography — is the property of Afrofa or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this store without our prior written permission.

The Adinkra symbols featured in our designs are part of the cultural heritage of the Akan people of Ghana. We use them with respect and with a commitment to representing their meaning accurately. They are not the exclusive intellectual property of Afrofa.

Accuracy of information

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, prices, and images on afrofa.com are accurate. However, we do not warrant that descriptions or other content are entirely error-free. Colours displayed on screen may vary slightly from the physical product due to differences in screen calibration.

If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical or system error, we reserve the right to cancel any orders placed at that price and notify you accordingly.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Afrofa is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the store or any products purchased through it. Our total liability in connection with any order shall not exceed the value of that order.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

EU consumer rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU or Polish law. As an EU-based business, we comply with the EU Consumer Rights Directive and all applicable consumer protection regulations. If there is any conflict between these terms and your statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the store shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Polish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the store after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
